(they/them)
Here to chew bubblegum and make ttrpgs, and I'm all out of bubblegum.
What I like in an RPG: a system that wants you to feel cool, and still has enough crunch to make you feel like you earned it. Systems that reward you for trying stunts instead of punishing you for daring to do want to do something not written out on the character sheet. Something like the Icons superhero system, or Exalted. I love life paths and choosing from a smorgasbord of edges and flaws when making a character. I love customization and mixing-and-matching.
I don't like a system that's optimizable, with a clear right choice that doesn't leave room for creativity. I don't like what I think of as "Monopoly-style" play, where once a player starts winning it's just a slow death-spiral of watching them grow more dominant. At the same time, I don't like being so concerned about balance you're afraid of being cool. And at the same time again, I don't want a highly narrative system where you can just make it up as you go along.
So you can see why I'm here making my own games. Insert self-deprecating ha-ha.
Also, I think I should change my profile picture, but I actually got really fond of the default =D-frog.
